Dressage

I love this website, and thought I'd share with any other riders out there.

http://www.artofriding.com/index.html

Living in the absoulte middle of nowhere has it's advantages, but an abundance of even poor dressage instructors is not one of them. So, I am endeavouring to become a better rider and help my pony become a more educated "lady's" mount by researching all I can on classical dressage.

No, that awesome zebra is not mine, I just found the shot, absolutely fantastic!

  2. Lol as horse fans I would think that you'd be able to tell that that is not a Zebra by a) it's size b)the shape of its ears and c)it's hoofs. Someone has painted a horse.

  4. This is funny. Scares me that the person above is a judge and rides "champions" and can't tell it is a horse colored zebra. Even my daughter who is not horsie could see it is a horse, lol lol lol.

  6. You have to admit. That is an awesome paint job! However, I a zebra is related more to a donkey than a horse. I have heard of some hybrids, and some rideable zebras. But anyone who has ridden a donkey or mule would know that they are built down hill; not a quality desirable in a dressage horse. Riding a donkey is an exercise in stomach control just staying back in the saddle.

  10. So someone made a mistake, maybe didn't look closely at painted horse, big deal. The person who posted they like to "set people straight" is exhibiting a bad trait that is rampant on the web and that is "I'm right and your wrong" or "I'm smarter than you". And I wonder how good it is for the horse to be painted, hope they used water colors and washed it off soon after.

  11. Is the rider painted in black-face? If so, I'd say that's more concerning than the horse being painted.
